If Bob is so bothered about world poverty... Why doesn't he donate all HIS money. I'm sure he has enough of it without asking for poor regular people to pay. Sorry I just get well annoyed at this. Like on red nose day... All these people like David Beckham say pay 10% of your wage to Comic Relief or wahtever... Well HELLO why don't you donate like one hours worth of pay which will be like 6 million.
Most of these 'do goody celeberaties' are full of shit and just wanna raise their profile.
But I spose these charity shows are a good thing... I jut object to the fact all the performers have all this money and expect the general public to give their last pound to charity.
I'm ranting again aren't I.

I personally get annoyed about the amount of money we send overseas! sort our problems out at home first, help homeless people, help women+children who have abusive partners, create more animal shelters, fight drug problems etc...

Our problems are nothing to the scale to the majority of Africa- If we had an epidemic of HIV in Britain I'd want bloody help!

I really can not tell you how much I agree with you here. It really pisses me off the fact that I can't walk down the street and feel safe yet the fucking government are pumping money overseas. I think that the governments priority should be to look after its own people first. Harsh I know. But life is harsh.

I'm a bit in the middle about charities and the causes that we donate to a country. I recently did a charity event at my college and raised just over £3000. We decided rather that give it to a well-known national charity that everyone gives to every year we'd keep it small and give it to three local charities.
When telling the charities we'd picked them they were so grateful for the amount that we'd said we'd raise for them. I think that £3000 is a drop in the ocean to charities nationally renown but £1000 for these three local charities it means the world of difference and it goes to benefit people in Reading you could bump into on the streets. I guess that kind of made my mind up really.
